Flavofive, great looking guitar, what are the woods?   Your photos show how big those guitars really are . Very nice :)

Miscellaneous / Electronics source?

I stumbled across a YT vid on building a simple 1/4w amp with no controls for what the guy said was about $5 in parts; thought it looked like a fun way to spend an afternoon or 3, and it actually sounded pretty good when he played through it.

Turns that (Radio Shack no longer living up to its name) it is pretty much impossible to find a supplier for non-guitar-specific-value caps & resistors - not to mention the IC & its socket - in quantities of one each.

I really don't want to build 5 of them - let alone 1000; that is lot size range I've hit up against.

Anyone able to point me somewhere?

David,

If you want to email what kinds of attacks the website is experiencing, I can check at work and see how we deal with it.

These pictures were not uploaded to our server, but are on the Imgur site.  That you can't see them may have something to do with Imgur and your ISP; I don't think it has anything to do with us.

Quote from: garyhead on April 17, 2026, 09:40:01 AMOne thing hasn't changed........It's Slower than ever!

That is currently being addressed.  Like many other sites, we have been and still are getting hit by hackers and DDOS attacks.  Some of the changes that were made to the site were attempts to reduce these bots, but they seem to be increasing in number.  Indeed, that was our primary goal in making this change to our forum at this time.  So, further steps are now being implemented, and we hope to see some positive results.
