Ready to prep for the next coat of finish:

It's really dark, but up close, ooh la la! Yes, it's sort of an eggplantish aubergine oxblood color.

THE ALEMBIC MELLANZANE GUITAR......yes it is so rich up close mica.... deep deep grains....almost hypnotic

This looks like one of those finishes where you really need to see it in person. So Val if you could bring it by the house one afternoon that would be nice!

The guitar really does look quite spectacular in person. The depth of the wood is gorgeous.

I'm with Dave on this one Val. After you've dropped by his house, it's a short hop to Edinburgh;-) Seriously though this looks fantastically rich.
