LG,
Funny how this is now kicking off now after it was aborted. Are there anymore added now? I uninstalled the player after you  said it was done, so will you put it back up?

Hi Jordan, yes, that was the old classic trick I did, I saw it in a movie with Robert De Niro, it always work! I am joking of course  lol

BTW: this player doesn't install at all, it's simply a file that you can launch anywhere on your computer.

I just wanted to clarify, in case there are members out there, that think that the player must be installed - it doesn't.
It's just a 70kb .swf (flash) file, nothing else. Open it and close it, simple.

Yes, there are more tracks now, thanks to the contributing members.
I am sending it to you via email right now (got the one from your profile).

Well, members who want to be listed need to send me an email with URL(s) anyway, so if they don't have the player they can request it. As for members who don't want or cannot be listed for some reason, they can still request a copy and enjoy listening, no problem.

Thanks again

Hi Jordan,

That's why I was saying to you that it wasn't luck but choice...
i.e; you have a Gibson that cost around $2K you said, well I never had an instrument in my life that cost that much you see.

In fact, for much less than $2K, I bought three (3X) Aria SBs (and NOT all at once, far from it), that's right...Then, I looked for second Alembic parts and upgraded two Arias, and it didn't happen overnight though, I had to sell other stuff to raise money, then save/borrow money, then wait, hunt, and wait... and I still owe money, it took a while, patience, decisions and choice...

So, you have many options available to you; especially you are lucky to be in the US, because Alembics are much more affordable there.
Then you always have the option to sell or trade in your Gibson...

And also, your Gibson will probably be much more valuable then any of my Arialembics in the second hand market... Meaning that my upgraded Aria, are STILL Aria, and they are not valuable, even with the Alembic parts, because they are Not Alembics, they are Aria. But you know what? To me it doesn't matter, because I did it for the sound, NOT for the VALUE. I would say that Alembics, are a much superior instruments, for Slap, Solo and high definition, definitely. While I still prefer my SB700 for other things... Personally I am not stubborn, but open minded and versatile, when it comes down to X vs Y...

Hi LG,
I said under $2000. It was actually $1150 because its a studio (set neck instead of neck through). Im not worried about value, because to me it too is all about the sound. However you may not know, Gibson basses have horrible resell prices. Alot of people just don't like them, but it appealed to me for its dark tone. I heard somewhere that Gibson only makes 10 basses a month (good quality control?), so the demand isn't really there, much less used. But hopefully I get lucky and find a good Alembic for sale somewhere where the person doesn't know what it is so I can get it for cheep.

Happy Thanksgiving,
-Jordan

Hi Jordan,

Is it Thanksgiving day in the States, great, thanks, same to everyone then...

Well, under $2K, yes you said that... but, you had me laugh man, just above $1K would have been more accurate and appropriate I think?
Where you embarrassed or something? LOL Please don't

That's right, I don't know much about Gibson and their retail value, and BTW, there are cheaper Alembic out there that go around $1K, on ebay for instance...

But you know what, let me know if you come across someone who sells an Alembic and doesn't know what it is! Although it's more likely to happen in a pawn shop, as some members got some great deals, maybe have a look around. Here in the UK/London, there aren't many Pawn shop, there is a chain called Cash Converters, but these guys usually charge  more than the retail value!!! LOL

Hi LG,
I guess above $1000 would be more accurate, but then again, its the best bass I've played for under $2000. No embarrassment. Yeah America is full of pawn shops. Im gonna have to go start looking around them for Alembics. Most people around here don't know what they are so maybe I'll get lucky and someone will think their some cheap asian company.
