Quote from: edwardofhuncote on May 29, 2026, 08:56:30 AMI've subscribed to Lindsey Buckingham's YouTube channel since the lockdowns. Lately he's been posting little tutorials on guitar. That, and his kids Will and Leelee have been joining him in the studio to respond to this or that, which can be entertaining too.

The teaser came out Friday in a Short: https://youtube.com/shorts/_2FoqNviGHo?si=BZZDLSUC9kzlAWym

Then:
I've been enjoying these. They also show up on his Instagram page.

Really like how this duet develops.

I just had an acid flashback but I didn't do acid when I was seven. My childhood included a lot of their music.

Quite nice!

But the video caption ("defined"?) moves me to remind one & all that no less an authority than Mr. Jerome John Garcia deemed Quicksilver Messenger Service's Happy Trails to be "the most psychedelic album ever recorded".

I also find it interesting that QMS is only 1 of the 4 main SF "psychedelic" bands that had a member who eschewed the lysergic experience; Janis hated acid, Pig took it once - without his knowledge, and Jorma only took it 6 times, far preferring speed.

Peter (who will add that he has no problem listening to any and all of them......)

Nice historical piece of video; thanks for posting.

I love Roger Miller. I was hoping Thumbs Carllile was going to show up in that one.

A buddy of mine has a funny guitar that I think belonged to Roger — an early oval-hole Gibson L-4 renecked as a 12 string by Paul Bigsby (if I recall correctly — it's been a decade since I played it).

Hang on a minute... I know that guitar. (you had to know I would...)

Was it this one? (and here's "Thumbs" with him...)

It could very well be that body.

Says that program is from '66... so 60 years ago. I've seen him with 12-strings, but can't recall a Gibson L-body. Wouldn't surprise me a bit, particularly if the original neck got damaged.

Nova Constellatio

I'd guess the neck must be earlier than 1966, but Bigsby didn't die until 1968, so anything is possible.
