Seems like I remember these earlier Stanley Signature models were rosewood, but the wood choice in this particular one looks remarkably like a walnut Series bass I had. Just a coincidence I guess.

Note also, the 3-pin XLR jack. Interesting.

The neck laminates on that one seem wonky.

Yeah....there needs to be more information on that 3-pin connector.  I also do not see a separate battery compartment.

There wouldn't be in a Stanley Clarke Sig... the battery goes in the control cavity. Purely a guess; I have a buddy on Talkbass who modified a Persuader Vector years ago to be powered externally with an XLR. Might be what they've done here. Or it's simply a record-out jack. Don't know.

I never got a reply about the XLR jack. I guess they figured I'm just a tire-kicker and I ain't even that. 

I see what you guys mean about the neck laminates, or at least I think I do. The maple segment of the beam on the G side is noticeably thicker than the E side. That's strange. Not even sure how or why that would be. It really wouldn't affect anything though... everything else is centered up. The string spacing is odd, but I think it's set that way on purpose. 

Looks like the A and D strings are too close together, I wonder if those two saddles were swapped at some point. That might be awkward to play.

I'm pretty sure they are referring to the maple laminate on the treble side being significantly different in width than the bass side.  I admit it took me some time to find "Waldo" even knowing there was something wonky to look for.
