Thanks for the link! The bass does sound good, although I bet it sounded even better in the room than on the recording. Punchy and even like the Modulus but without the clang, etc. I love the way the attack and envelope of the note responds to changes in picking (my Starfire does something similar), with different tonal ranges coming in and out.
Phil's singing has gotten a lot stronger, great to hear!
Great energy in the band all around, although I still have an aversion to Warren Haynes in this context, especially his tone, particularly with the Leslie simulator. Love him in other settings, but this never did it for me. I guess I'm too used to hearing a rhythm guitarist immersed in McCoy Tyner, horn parts, and string quartets bridging Phil and the drummer, instead of straight strumming. :-)
He's pretty killin' on Morning Dew, though, which is a great version. On the link I posted below, you can hear the fidelity of the bass a lot better, including the high end attack.
