I would definitely suggest they keep those patterns. This looks (in the pics, anyway) as one of the few human-sized six-string basses I've seen. Most of them with those diving-board width necks just don't look liveable.
No wonder that the almighty himself, Anthony Jackson, has to play that monstrous 36 scale signature guitar sitting down. I've read his thoughts about the evolution of his design, and understand them completely, but even at six-foot and 44-long, I could not imagine trying to navigate that beast. Phil's axe, it just looks perfect if I were diving off into a six.
