On a striking looking bass like that, a backlit spiders web would be pretty neat.

My first gig with my amazing Europa. It has an amazing sound and it's really fun to play. We had a great time.

Someone else playing my Alembic:

We had some fun tonight :-) The singer/guitarplayer and I (Bass) switched places and did a Motorhead/Sepultura coversong (Orgasmatron) Symen played my '83 Spoiler and  I played my Squier Strat with an Alembic 4 string Jazz pickup. The humbucker I had in there was pretty bad and microphonic, with the Alembic pickup through a Tubescreamer into a Mesa combo I had a great sound :-)  The Strat with Alembic pickup:

(I had no long/slim screws, so I used a kinda rude mounting system)  :-)  Sorry Bill (tgo) this one isn't for sale

Flip-
I dig that guitar, pain and grief radiate from it both literally and figuratively.

It's a piece of art without even hearing it.

Does that alembic pickup go straight to the output jack or is there a stratoblaster or any other electronics between?

Thanx!

The pickup goes straight to the output, I had to use the Tubescreamer (set at 11) to get enough signal for the Boogie to rumble :-)

Ouch, it is almost like I could feel guitar's pain...

Flip, this long way to the pedal didn't built up the noise?

Looking at that guitar is like watching someone get hit in the family jewels.  It hurts to even think about it!  Now if you could get Eddie Van Halen to play it, Fender would put out an exact copy for $25K!  lol

I loved the mounting system of this PU... Looks like it has a spring on a hinge at the upper side. The screws can add mass, do they increase sustain? lol...

Lol all :-)

Here's the vid (very poor sound) qlique
I will upload a new version when I get a better quality recording (video camera from behind the foh desk)
If the link is broken, search for Damaged Justice NL Orgasmatron

Noise level was somewhat acceptable... I might try it with a preamp if we're going to do such a crazy thing again :-)

Ooops... did I warn you to turn off sound before clicking on the vid link?
