Hi Guys!
Mild hijack under the guise of catching up.
Delano, long story over many years with my 'slap technique'. Honestly the simple mechanics of having the 'primary slap strings' being B,E,A on the bottom in itself requires reaching over the top of the D,G,C strings to reach them. At the same time from having my thumb on the top of my left hand (and missing half of it from the joint out) and my picking fingers on the bottom, (I hope that makes sense). This required me to develop a 'quasi' slap method that had me 'flailing around' for many years trying to emulate slap bass. And it's still a work in process, as is my music overall, but it's starting to work finally! True slap? Naaahhh...not even close. Effective for what I do? Works for me for now til I learn something else.
Christian, Peter, Paul, glad you guys like! I appreciate the compliments!
Dave, thanks for the 'tech support'!
Yep, I'm still using my RC-50 looper. The pedal board has changed some. New format with road cases. Signal chain starts going into a splitter, which one line goes direct to the mixer, one goes to a ME-50B. Stereo out, going to an Eventide PitchFactor. Stereo out going to an Adrenalinn III. Stereo out going to the looper. Of course this signal path arrangement does have a tendency to change and I'll end up with cables going all over everywhere with way too many line signals running around. Then I'll start all over again.
Guess that's it so, back to the regularly scheduled programming.
Thanks Guys!
Best Regards,
Kimberly
