The originals band I play with was set to release a new CD before Christmas. Unfortunately, still finishing the final mix. On the positive side we had some professional pictures taken for the CD. Here's the first action shot of the 'blistered Koa' Series 1 bass I was able to acquire last fall.

(Oops! Image problems!)

Tim, There are size limitations for files.... try making a copy of the original and making it’s file size less than 500KB.  We all like to ogle each other’s wood crafted wonders.

Hi Bill, gigging is a good escape from the blanket media coverage on Brexit. I wish there was this kind of coverage and analysis before the vote.
Back on to all things Alembic, Dave did you notice the Classico peeking out behind me :-) That gig was my double bass debut and we battled through a couple of Stanley Clarke powered tracks, 500 miles high and Sakura Sakura. I should be getting some professionally shot pictures from the gig so will post them after I get to check them out.

This is a picture taken at rehearsal yesterday by the Marketing team for the Birmingham Symphony Hall for their instagram page.
And the last two were taken by a photographer at the gig in the evening.

Nice shots of you with the Classico.  500 Miles High is an old favorite, and I imagine it's fun to play on the Classico.

Your technique and posture is spot-on Jazzy... you instructor is teaching you well! (and that bass is a Classy-co for sure!)  ;D  I know I keep saying this, but this sibling to yours is just a few kilometers from me here in Virginia. https://reverb.com/item/3711147-alembic-classico The only thing stopping me from going to play it is I know I'll want one.  ::)

David, yep It has a great feel to it. I am nowhere near playing it the way Clarkee does but I still managed to play it in a way that kept the feel of the track.
That classico on Reverb is very close to what mine looks like they could indeed be made from the same slab of maple.

A video I did with a local band recently has just been released on their web site.
Warning Alembic Series II prominently on display however I am not the bass player on the record. I think he used a Jaydee bass.

Very professional production.  8)

I'm wondering how does that work in post-production, Jazzy? Are you all playing/singing along to audio playback so it synchs up to video?

Me and my buddy Teddy-Mac working out some new tunes for this year. The older I get, the more I appreciate my close musical friends... Ted and I have been playing music together off and on in some formation for almost 30 years now. This was one of the first outings for the new-to-me old Series I. She fit right in with Ted's Huss & Dalton 'Crossroads' guitar.
