Here is a pic of me demo-ing my Classico at the Midlands Bass Bash at the Doveridge Village Hall in a lovely little village in near Ashbourne Derbyshire yesterday.

The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

Nice!  :)

How is it transporting the Classico? If I remember right, you drive a fairly small vehicle... seats lay flat?

We travelled in my other half’s volvo so it fitted fine. The last time i took it out was in my smart for four with my 5 string, amp and cab with stands. A smart for two which i had previously can comfortably fit a 3/4 double bass with the front seat down.

not a superb performance, but I'd like to show you, guys... (be nice)

I'm into bass solo arrangements which I can play chords and melodies along bass line at same time and still keep the original song recognizable. Not every tune permits that on 4 string bass. My old time pals would be surprise for the selection (we were jazz snobs at the 80s), but this one was perfect to my goal and I didn't even have to change a note to match bass open strings.

Dig it man, that was cool!

Hobby band, iPhone recording, best with ear buds/headphones.

This was an early recording of an original tune.

Every day is its own kind of perfect.

Great tune Michael and thanks Tom.

I miss our fellow lady club member who played Epic through a boss looper, but can't remember her name... long time no see.

I'm going through a phase of playing dim lit gigs but hey, thanks to the LED's, groovin' ain't a problem!

I can't be the only player that also goes through phases of having a favourite bass, doesn't matter what brand! They all play different and serve different projects...it's a wonderful puzzle!

Have a great day folks!

George, always impressed by your videos and Alembics. Is that an Alembic version of a jazz bass? Rock on!
