OK you folks,
 
You have been helping me out on the bass trail, now may I please ask your opinions or favorites on cabinets. I know we just had a amp thread but can we narrow it down a little. I need help.
 
In the past I have been running my f-1X through the rear of my 1000 watt carvin. Now I have a new svt-2 pro ampeg all tube 300 watts of power, clean and fun. So now after getting a new amp rig I find the sound just increased about 100% out of me Excel, approximately the same as when I switched from the carvin to the alembic.
 
The problem is now (or maybe not a problem)depending on your opinions is that the only cabs I have are the Carvins. One 4X10 w/horn, one 1X15, and 0ne 1X18. They seem to have been OK up until now but everytime I make an improvement such as getting my Excel, then getting this ampeg all tube pro everything keeps getting better which leads me to believe that I have more room for improvement in the speaker area.
So I am open to all opinions.
 
I have heard alot about the accugroove's, the acme's, mesa boogies, etc. Where should I go next?

i'd suggest you wait till you get your series then take all your kit to a decent store and try out as many combinations as you can. Everyone on here is going to give you their own preference. mine is EBS NEO but I also like the Eden XSTs.

If you go to the right store, you won't have to bring your gear.  I was in Bass Central last year, and they were able to supply me with a Series 1, and Alembic F-1X, and a QSC (exactly my rig).  They also stocked every cabinet I have ever dreamed of, so the day was well-spent.  
 
In the end, I chose the Schroeder neo 4X10.  I had never even heard of Schroeder until I walked in to BC, and I was almost positive I wanted the Epifani.  I liked the Schroeder better (better punch, more low-end potential, and an impressive ability to throw sound laterally, across the stage).  It handles a TON of power, and the whole thing weighs about 65 lbs.  
 
A lot of cabinet designers are making incredible stuff these days.  At some point, it becomes a matter of personal taste, but I think you'll notice a change for the better once you get into the realm of boutique cabs (e.g. AccuGroove, Eden, Epifani, Aguilar, Schroeder, etc.).

If you want to keep it all Ampeg, my band's practice room has two Ampeg 410HE and they are very nice.  The sound from them is huge.
 
I have an Accugroove Tri112 and I love it.  It was bought without trying one first.  Big, clean sound from a small cabinet with my Eden WT400, and it's very light weight.  Rather expensive is the down side.  Two of these or add a Tri115 and it would be a monster rig that you can actually carry.  Not sure if they are the right fit for a SVT though.  You would probably want an El Whappo/Whappo Jr. or two with that head.
 
Since I like to try new things, my next bass cab would be from Tone Tubby.  The hemp cone guitar speakers I bought are absolutely amazing, and I would like to hear what they do for bass.  
 
And please tell Pele I got her message next time you run into her.  But sending brush fires to burn my uncle's house to the ground was a bit, well, over the top to say the least.  Please pass along all due repsect to the fire goddess for me. I guess that's what happens when one plays with fire.  It seems Alembic created the next Hope diamond for me.  Who wants to be next?

hey but if youre getting series II why not get the full alembic experience and get a f2b?

i think if you get an f2b, use your svt as the power section, and get bag end speakers, you'd have the the ultimate rig. my opinion.

Glockenklang. I think they're the sweetest cabs out there. The will sound like whatever you put into them, which is a good thing when it's an Alembic. They are very clean, pure, and open. I personally like the Double (2x12) but they're all great.

Everyone here is going to have a different opinion.  Use your ears.  I have tried a bunch; Mesa, GK, Eden, and others.  To my ears Bag End is the way to go.  They take a little getting used to, but I think sound wonderful.  I guess what takes getting used to is that they are flat.  There seems to be no built in peaks or valleys.  Another thing I've noticed is that they sound much LARGER than they really are.  I find the other brands that boast a flat cabinet sound small.  With the Bag End, the sound seems to be coming from everywhere.

Everone here is going to have a different opinion---absolutely!
A series bass has a wide tonal range. ELF cabs 18's or 15's with 12's or 10's for punch work for me. Stereo and biamped for more control.
There are so many cabs out there now the suggestion to replicate your rig and try out a few options, trust your own ears, would seem the best advice, considering it's your money we're spending!

Absolutely for real.  They are made by A. Brown Soun (not a typo, that's the name) in San Rafael, halfway between me and Alembic.  They are being used by the likes of Clapton and Santana.  I picked up a 12 guitar speaker over the holidays that I'll be using in a band situation for the first time this Saturday night.  So far I love the tone of the thing.  They've been making the guitar speakers for at least 2-3 years now.  The bass speakers are new.  Here's a link:

Another Bag End'er here. 18 ELF's and D10XD-B. It's a real hi-fi setup. I also know a number of folks that really like Eden.

Make a list of the recommendations above.  Then run a search of this board (top right hand corner of every page) on each one separately to see what folks have posted in the past.  For instance run a search on Acme and I imagine you'll find lots of prior discussions on Acme cabs.

You have definitely told me some new brands out there that I did not know existed. The Bag End's are nice but I didn't see a price so far. The Glockenklangs looked excellent.
 
And like some of you said, it's as much matching up to the new bass as it is to my ears, and where I play, etc. But I just wanted to get some ideas on some new stuff which is what you have helped me with.
 
Unfortunately I don't have a place to go over here like bass central but it might just be worth the trip once I get my bass to take a trip there.
 
Andy, are you saying that they will let you hang out for a couple of hours and try different rigs at bass central? That sure sounds nice. I did business with them before and they were really nice. In fact I bought my used f-1X from them and they shipped it to me.
 
Do any of you have Carvins like me to tell me if there is enough diffence in them that they are that bad? Because they seem OK to me but it just seems like I could get more punch out of a 4X10 cabinet than this one. It is rated at 600 Watts but it does break up a little soon in my opinion. Although this Ampeg svt-2 pro has alot of power.
