Henrik, your English is superb.
I have tried learning a second language (Spanish) and have not really been able to discipline myself so that much progress can be made.
Weather-wise, we had a very late winter/early spring freeze and it killed (or stunted) most of the fruit trees, plants, hardwoods. Then this summer has been so hot and dry that most of the farmers and gardeners around here have pretty much written off the year.
The folks on this site will help you any way they can. I am not a technical person in the least, so I will be no assistance on your projects; but I will be following with great interest.
There are a good many Alembecians on your side of the Pond who are very active in buying, selling and trading guitars, basses, electronics, etc. There are also used Alembics posted for sale by members here on a semi-regular basis. I hope to one day have the funds for a custom to my specs straight from Calif.
I hope you get a chance to try (and own) an Alembic bass someday. Ebay is a place to look, however be careful there and make sure you ABSOLUTELY know with whom you are dealing. You can get burned on ebay 'cause I did once.
I Play through a GK 700RBII and an Ampeg SVTVR. (I back that up when necessary with an old Sunn Coliseum with two 18 speakers). I have not really been doing a lot of heavy playing in the past few years, really only using the lighter rigs. Don't know what kind of bass your are playing, but it sound like it may be a Fender. I like the Fender basses.
If you get a chance, look for an Alembic. I really think the Epic Alembics are very, very nice instruments and carry a huge sound. They are every bit an Alembic bass as are all of these custom works of art.
Please, keep us all posted on your progress and if you have electronics questions or just want to bounce off ideas, please post them because there are lots of folks here who a great deal of knowledge and expertise and are always willing to share, explain and help whenever possible.
Good luck and God bless!
