This Europa one of those repeaters. A Club Member here got it offa' ebay from the original owner a couple years ago, https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=25213.msg252104#msg252104 traded it, and it's been sold at least one other time by that same guy, offered once for sale here. https://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=25436.msg255812#msg255812

It's a nice bass. Makes you wonder why no one hangs onto it.

Well spotted, and it seems I posted it on the facebook group last year. Amazing what you forget when there are so many lovely basses to try to put in front of prospective buyers.
I hope the next buyer makes it a keeper.

Does this Europa really have a scarf joint joining the neck and body? While it's mentioned in the ad, I don't see this info on the build sheet. If this is a scarf joint, I'm curious if there are any drawback to this type of build? I'm tempted to pull the trigger on this one but I'm a fan of neck-thru basses.

Thanks!

No, it does not. It is a neck-thru.
You can actually see the wood through the black finish if you look carefully.
I have personally played this one and can tell you for certain that it is in fact a neck-thru.

I purchased her and I'll just say there's nothing wrong with it except that it's heavy in comparison to the one I had custom built - guessing because mine was chambered. The neck is straight and after setting her up the action is low without any buzz. When I'm playing I really can't feel a difference as long as I'm sitting down :)
