Does this Europa really have a scarf joint joining the neck and body? While it's mentioned in the ad, I don't see this info on the build sheet. If this is a scarf joint, I'm curious if there are any drawback to this type of build? I'm tempted to pull the trigger on this one but I'm a fan of neck-thru basses.

No, it does not. It is a neck-thru.
You can actually see the wood through the black finish if you look carefully.
I have personally played this one and can tell you for certain that it is in fact a neck-thru.
