Thanks... I read a lot of posts here before buying. I was sad because I couldn’t search or ask questions until I created a login, understandable, but I didn’t want to get that far ahead of myself. These are truly wonderful, albeit, different instruments.
It’s my second top of this type. I have to admit that I didn’t think one could be so beautiful. The depth and richness that they coaxed out of this glorious piece of wood reveals more and more every time I look at it. I’ve bought basses from “custom” shops that make claims about 5A tops. If that’s the case, how many A’s are needed for these?
I gig, but not like many still do. Or, maybe want to is better. I play out at least twice a week. However, to your point, I believe that is completely accurate. My short time playing/learning at this point has revealed tones and small levels of adjustments that I never thought possible. I’m certain that will continue to bloom.
