The flu, uugghh!!!   Heres what the doc recommends,  take a few spoilers,  drink a nice cup of series 2's,  relaxe and turn on some soft rogues, wrap up with a good excel,  wrap a nice cool epic around your forhead, try and eat a warm bowl of orion, and keep a box of soft filters near you if you sneeze...  HA, just kidding, hope you get well soon, we all cant live without you!!! Take care Mica,    trac

Thanks for the good thoughts! Now that I'm almost better, I got to work and finished the Featured Custom. Tomorrow I'll spend the day trying to play catch up at work and it looks like I'll spend a good chunk of this weekend catching up at the Club.

Mica:

Whilst I would not presume as to whether or not you imbibe the occasional 'adult beverage', if you DID I can certainly recommend the following cure, after you inevitably exhaust a range of over-the-counter medicines:

Into a suitable coffee mug or small to medium glass:

Crown Royal, strong tea, lemon juice, and honey.

Microwave it hot.
Stir.
Ingest.
Sleep like a baby.
Feel great tomorrow.
Time to go make the basses!

Beats Nyquil and Thera-Flu.  Plus it's cost effective, having Crown, good tea, lemons, and honey around for other things once you're better!

All the Best,

Joey Wilson

(Joey: maybe not for the flu, but for colds - same recipe, substituting Jack Daniels. And I'm not even from Tennessee.)

If I remember correctly, Mica's actually been through a couple rounds of illness lately, at least two of the last three or four weeks. So (I'm reminding myself) we should all try to be really patient about giving her time to catch up, and hopefully not get so run down again.

Take your time, Mica. I don't think we're going anywhere.

Hey Bob and Joey,

I think it's called a Hotty Totty.  At least that's what they call it up here in Beantown.

Mica, I'm glad to hear you're feeling better!!!!
Take care of yourself!!!

Or a hot toddy, which I think would be the non-Beantown rendering of the same thing...

I sometimes think I prefer someone to hit me over the head with a hammer and wake me when it's over...

Hello brothers,

I'm about as ill as Mica I guess. I have the flu for 5 days now, I'm at the office but things are not working well.
So my question: what the *&-/?***>

Paul,

Sorry to hear you're ill.  I had the flu about a month ago, not good news at all is it?

Crown Royal is blended Canadian Whisky - 40% alc/vol.  As you probably won't be able to get hold of any easily (I've never seen any in the UK), I would get some decent French brandy into me, preferably warmed a little! Besides, I don't like blended whisky, regardless of its nationality!

Cheers and hope you're feeling better soon!

Paul,

I had a feeling you had to be sick not to post for a few days.
If you don't get better soon, try a nice long sauna, I believe that's how Russians cope with it during their less-than-mild winters, and it's worked for me a couple of times I tried it. Sweat out all the toxins.

get well soon

Valentino

P.S. : It's a great remedy for hangovers too
