An alembic (or alambic) is also used to moonshine I believe our US brothers call it in old days.
Adriaan ...I saw that too.

Ho David ...the concept to use Titles of songs were an Alembic bass was used in as tagline a good concept. Maybe too intellectualistic??
But  ...well ...that's how I am...

Without speaking for (and embarrassing) the whole of American persons (just my illiterate self), I think the word alembic is pretty obscure.  Further, until I looked a bit further because of my interest in Alembic instuments, my meager understanding of the word was that it was associated most closely with the admirable practice of alchemy - principally conversion of non-gold substances to gold.  Actually (did I grow up in a linguistic BARNYARD!?!) my understanding that an alembic was a still did not really take root until after extensive, systematic research -- mostly in the form of noticing the Ebay listings that come up under alembic but are not basses, guitars or preamps.
I'm not confident (again, my humble, illiterate opinion) that others on this side of the pond would make the connection between Alembic to distilling drinkable beverages.

to break it all down in a musical instrument sence, all of impurities, hath been removed, the pickups are ceramicmagnetic,(eliminating harmonic distortion)producing a purer signal, (cleanest possible tone)w/addition to high quality onboard pre-amps topped off w/the most exotic woods , adding all these ingredients, the purest of them all could only add up to being (a distilled musical instrument) ,thus the alembic is born!

David,
it is rather hard to find a line Who or JE related.
Maybe:
ALEMBIC - the real me.......

Ok here's a couple of thoughts. I apologize (make excuses) in advance, very little sleep due to work the last couple days and today the building where my office is located has, all morning, been calibrating the Fire Alarm to find the most headache inducing pitch. They are getting closer all the time. Anyway here are some song related lines from Alembicized bands, some direct some paraphrased:

If you get confused, listen to the music play

Come hear Uncle Ron's Bass

Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of are own

Its a bass beyond description

Spend my days with a bass unkind,
Now I'm Goin' to California an Alembic will be mine

See Me
  Touch Me
    Hear Me
 -Alembic Beckons

Don't you want some bass to love

My Best Friend
  -Alembic

And some non-song related paraphrases:

Bassic Instinct

Give in to your Bass-er needs

Beyond Custom
  Beyond Description
    Beyond Belief

When you care enough to play the very best

Well not too original, but maybe after a proper nights sleep something better may come to mind.

This is a fun thread, there have been some great entries.

Sorry, I'm tired.

FYI- I'll be offline for about 10 days so I apologize in advance for not getting back to anyone.  I'm going to LA and I don't have a laptop yet.

Peace,
Dino

Dino, I looked it up; it's against the rules to use the word laptop in a blues tune.

Martin Mull: Well I got so upset this morning... I threw my drink across the lawn (walk to IV and repeat)

I think he called it the suburban white boy blues.

I think you ought to run the ad on 2 pages...on the first one the slogan should be in Elvish (I bet Ken would love to translate it), on the second one translated into English...keep 'em guessing...
