How many Levite Warriors are here?
« on: March 20, 2007, 09:27:11 PM »
I know there are a few of us here whom are Worshippers of God with our instruments and we lead others into musical Worship.  I'm just curious, how many of us are in the club?

Bill.
Didn't he make the mistake of appearing as a Pastor in a really dire Steven Seagal movie?

I'm an obsessive compulsive self-misguider, but I don't try to persuade others it would be good for them.

I do, although I left the levitical mantra behind, those Laws were replaced long ago.

Brad, so sorry, you can't be just the bass player. If you're on stage, you're leading.

When some of us gathered in Dallas, I believe five of us mentioned that we played at our respective houses of worship.

Brad and Michael, I love being just the bass player.  Most of the time I'm not the singer or leader but it's easy to be in control.  When the bass and drums are working together, the feel goes where we take it.  Nobody can pull us away unless we go willingly.  I love it.

Good one Adriaan....

Whatever works for one's own self. I haven't done anything musically in a church since I was a child and the choir director would force me to sing.... I would not dissuade anyone from those activities though.

No problem - your not dissuade is much the same as my not trying to persuade.

I?m curious, how can asking which club members play music in church be considered a persuasive question?

Lately we've been playing music composed by the likes of Isreal Houghton and Kirk Franklin. It's a fun workout on a weekly basis.

Excuse the impertinent liberty with WS's prose: To persuade or not to dissuade, indeed there is the rub.

[To olieoliver:] If the question had been asked in that vein, I would probably not have responded.

I'm still wondering what happened to the club member who went on an evangelization tour in Turkey.

Adriaan, I didn?t interpret the question that way but I suppose one could read it as such. I respect your right to believe (or not believe) as you like and will never attack your opinion and way of life, I only ask the same in return.

My apologies Doc for the slight turn off topic so to get back to your question DOC, I'm one.

Love and Peace to ALL
Olie
