Sending it out to Eden tomorrow
David Eden sold the company to a music comglomerate, who outsources everything now. To send this to Eden, is to pick a repair shop from a list, and hope they have the schematics for it. When two of my units went down, within a week of the other, I sent mine to a place in NJ, who said they might not be able to fix the WT 1250, as Eden does not even have the schematics for it. I lucked out, and it was just a problem in the power supply and they fixed it. If any real trouble shooting was necessary, I would have had to trash it. WT 300's are pretty old, but at the price hourly charges of repair shops these daze, it would probably be cheaper to replace the head. Used WT 300's on eBay go pretty cheap - Just a thought, and eBay is always a gamble . . .
When David Eden owned the company, he built a very good reputation for qaulity and service. That is gone. Now I look at my Eden stuff as if they break down, I may have to replace them with other products I can put more trust in. I hope you come out of this situation without loss, as the only thing you did was to do a friend a favor.
