Adding a Filter to an Epic
« on: February 01, 2008, 08:07:12 PM »
We talked about this many moons ago, and the adapter to add a filter to an existing Epic, Essence or 2-pickup Excel is now available. Here's the cable assembly:

No soldering will be needed, but you'll have to decide if you'll be comfortable cramming in the extra knob.

I don't have a price for this item yet, but I still wanted to share.

Mica,

Might we get a picture (with a ruler) for the filter module?

That would help decide feasibility.

Hi Mica,

I'm 'in' on this one.  Pricing and availability would be most appreciated, thank you.

Best Regards,

Cool!!!

I can't help but wonder what happens if you use a sticker that's not blue.  Not that I would; I happen to like blue stickers.  Still, it makes you wonder.

Note, the original post should correctly state that the modification is for Epic, Orion, and 2-pickup Excels.

This comes with a blue sticker for the purpose. I've been known to like any color so long as it's blue.

Pricing and other details will have to wait until after election day. As usual, I'll be working the polls, and that's a long Tuesday from about 5:30 am to at least 10:00pm.

Right.  Early start, and then stay late to get the results you want out of the diebold.

Ron Paul wins Sonoma county?!?!

Couldn't we get like a miniature wolf sticker or something?  Blue seems so... bland.

Red stickers tend to attack other parts of the electronics for invalid reasons!  Red stickers keep all the adhesive for themselves, even if they have more than enough and the other stickers are in dire need of adhesive.  I'm voting for blue stickers!

What are we supposed to have?

A tax and stick blue sticker?!?!?!

Blue stickers want to take the adhesive that I earned and give it to someone else?

You've been huffing glue again, Bill.

The aforementioned is an attempt at humor, punning, etc. and should not be construed to represent the views of the publisher, even if they do.  Besides, shouldn't we all be doing our part for a greener sticker?

We shouldn't even be using stickers as the resources they consume in manufacture far out weigh their usefulness. ;-)

I'm not putting the sticker on unless it's an organic, free-range sticker.  I'd prefer a vegan one, but I suppose the tofu glue probably doesn't work that well.

Have you read _In Defense of Sticker_?  Use stickers. Not too much. Mostly blue

Mica!

We lost our picture!  Did you take it away because we were being bad and arguing in the back seat?
