Hello,

Does anybody have a F-2B for sale?

I've never seen knobs like that - are those what they originally looked like? The two I own have the red knobs.

I believe the knobs have been replaced on this one.

Is it the same one as in the TalkBass ad? The TB one has one knob that doesn't match, but the one on eBay has all the same knobs...

The one on talkbass is marked as sold.  Interesting that they both had similar non-Alembic knobs.

Could these be the transitional knobs referred to in the F-2B FAQ? There, Mica writes that ...for a few hundred units, the knobs were all-aluminum with two set-screws and could be found in both black and natural aluminum colors (both colors were anodized). The supplier was Alco.

If so, isn't it interesting that two F-2Bs with transitional knobs went on sale at the same time?

Not sure why I'm so obsessed with the knobs. I am the proud owner of two blue-chassis/red-knobbed F-2Bs, plus a modern-era SF-2. I always get jealous of the San Francisco-produced F-2Bs when they show up...

What a pity the chap will not ship internationally.
If I gave someone the cash would they ship it on to me - to Australia?
I just need to use their US delivery address.
I know this is somewhat of a big ask.

One more question what about the supply power. Is it switchable 110V/240V or can
Alembic sell me the correct transformer for it?

It's getting a bit curly now!

F-2B is sold.
Guess it doesn't take long at that price

Elwoodblue,

Thanks for hooking me up with the ebay auction for the F-2B.
I happened to win it with one bid! Woo Hoo!

Now I need to find out how to make it compatible for 240V.

I guess I will ask the question of Mica.
