The Alembic guitar silhouette of fixed, and known standard classes (shapes options) could be upgraded to a full 3D rendering kiosk.
Thus, allowing the customer a clear perspective from their remote PC.
Once the shape is accepted, the wood options would be available... eventually the customer would drill down to the hardware options and so forth... The user see's the instrument as it is being designed before their eyes... and could cross reference historical references of actual guitars built of the same shape type.
Ultimately customers can save their pictures to their local file systems.
As for extreme customs, (beyond the shapes of the system and history) then traditional customer care would be enforced.
A system like this alone would be a marketing marvel if integrated well and it interacted with the rich history and culture of talented makers, and musicians like you-all.
Just a thought of many...
