I spent a bunch of time when it arrived on Wednesday, and was happily surprised with the string spacing. I found it a lot friendlier than my other, more typically-spaced MK Deluxe.

I had to drop something else off at Alembic this week, so it's in Mica's hands now. I'm fortunate to be a short drive from the shop.

You are indeed lucky that you are living close to the shop. How did it sound now without the series upgrade? That bass looks amazing. Really like the tight spacing. Hoping some day an Alembic six string with a tight spacing comes up.

I liked it with the Signature electronics, but I prefer the sound/flexibility of Series instruments and have built my current rig around them.

Great project! Looking forward to seeing, and maybe hearing?, the bass after the new electronics have been installed.

Very nice one that series 1! is it medium scale? That is my favorite Alembic model. The medium scale 4-string series 1 Omega. That and the short scale small body series 1.

No I think it's not a medium scale, just a normal 34". Looks smaller on that photo.
The bass player's function, along with the drums, is to be the engine that drives the car... everything else is merely colours.
