One too many string, and extra long scale, I can't handle ;D
Price is Japanese VAT included, so deduct 10% for export out of Japan and plus shipping. (about 23,300 usd + shipping)

35" scale and a 5+0 headstock. that'll shift yer center of gravity and pu everything on yer left side at risk. if it were fretless i'd be non-deterred. $25,811 USD give or take. good luck to all!
I don't recall seeing another Rogue 5 or any other Alembic witha 5-on-a-side headstock. 🤔
I don't think I've ever seen one either. I kind of like it.
My Series Rogue has the 4+0 headstock (Elan/Essence) 34" with the/a Modified shorter upper horn and balances perfectly, even in pure Coco Bolo.
Mine has the ebony neck stringer too. This one seems to have Mahogany stringers as well.
I can't recall if this is the only 5 inline, but certainly if there's more it's not many. Rogues have the tailpiece and bridge way down at the bottom of the bass, so an extra long scale Rogue will have similar left hand reach of a Standard Point long scale.
Beautiful bass
now on reverb at increased price. that bass is quite stunning. too bad it's fretted. good luck to all!

Optimistic price. There is a 4-string Rogue Series II languishing on Reverb for $14,500.00
That 14.5k Rogue Series II on reverb has a pretty spectacular top. I seem to remember Mica mentioning the burl cocobolo isn't exactly readily available. Cool bass. Im surprised that one has hung around so long.

Yeah, it's a very nice bass (Europa body shape, not Rogue). My guess on why it's languishing is that it's not 'true' series 2, lacking some of the series 2 appointments and serial number having "C".
But nonetheless, it's a very very very nice bass, one I am very interested in....
I really love the Europa shape, now that I have 2. :)

Thanks or pointing that out. I went back and read the description because it's listed as a Series II but it's really a Custom build. The only feature I think it's missing is gold plated hardware. That wouldn't prevent me from a purchase, but that bass does nothing for me. I do want a Series II someday.
My Essence has Rogue/Europa electronics, so I've always been under the impression that it was more of an Essence-shaped Rogue/Europa. But I guess I've never done much research into what makes a Rogue differ from a Europa, but now that it's been pointed out...I guess we can call this a Europa-shaped custom with series II electronics, very rare top wood, and a kick ass case. Would that be accurate?
i tink the bass in question is:

beautiful bass. looks like it's got a drop tuner on it. myself i'd rather have a 5-string if yer gonna do that. i hate floppy E strings and having my note positions all of a sudden relocated. what SII extras it's lacking is inlaid logo, ebony neck stringers, omega cuts but at that price for a SII electronics equipped bass it's a very nice instrument unless it's got some hidden flaw like a broken headstock repair or something like that. imho. ymmv. and all that rot. got a case and a DS-5. good luck to all!
HA....That case is da bomb! It looks like it could survive an apocalypse!
The body is also "thicker" to accommodate the Series electronics.

That bass has been bought and sold/listed a number of times in fairly recent years I think it was owned by a forum member a while back and before I found my S2 shorty, i toyed with buying it but the shipping and duty and VAT would have pushed it out of my comfort zone. I think there is a matching 5 stringer also. Gorgeous coco bolo top and at that cost it's not surprising the original owner skipped the back laminate. Or maybe it was a decision based on weight considerations.
