Reverb has stated this has been up for 5 years but it is the first I've heard of it......In Spain:

At $29,000.00 for a shop night Series 1, even dropping it down to $25,000.00 is a dream. Anyone care to elaborate on this one?
Here you go - a topic from 2005 about this very instrument. Might be a Becvar build.

Thanks Adriaan. I knew someone must remember it. So, its been with this owner for the past 30 years. Been in the closet the last 12 years (by sellers own admission) Fun to see these old'uns pop up again.
i am the happy owner of a shop night bass that got awarded an official logo and serial number.

the links in the referenced post are dead for some reason. i refer to it as my A-bass. series II body with anneversary electronics. its only blemish is that it's not a 5-string. i've owned some mighty nice alembics (14 at last count) over the years. with the exception of my long-lost 8-string spyder, this one is at the top of the list alongside the ebony amazon series II currently in my possesion. these two basses are gonna be my stage basses this summer. it's taken some preparation to be able to swap between the two between songs.
i agree $25k is way outta line for an unlogo'd instrument. i'd like to think i own a unicorn (or two). it's a very special bass. i'd like to get $25k for it, but i'd have to be awefully high to post it at that price, were i foolish enuff to want to part with it.
good luck to all!
If I were to encounter the person who scratched his/her settings into the finish, I fear I would have to beat welts on the top of their head.
Peter
As soon as I saw that peghead I knew we had seen that one before.
