Alright, beendown, I figured this would get your attention.  It's unlined, 5-string, and has an Alembic logo.  So it checks those boxes.  Nice price too.  Could be a nice little bass to haul around worry-free.  I have no affiliation, just found it sipping coffee.

well it certianly did as those words always do.  thanx for the heads-up.  unfortunately i'm outta the bass market these days.  even if i find one that clicks all the boxes (long scale, unlined, 5 strings, series or anneversary elctronics, lit neck).  which i still have yet to see after 4 years of searching.

got an essence fiver fretless that's gonna hafta do.  i'd like to upscale it but it's gonna be my player until i hit the big sleep.

castle rock's aboot a half-hour south of me.  looks like the price isn't too unreasonable.  never played a set-neck.  not sure i'd know what to do.  good luck to all!

I dig this bass. I'd love a 5 string fretless, but I wouldn't use it enough to warrant making it an Alembic, even at that great price. My only question is the mention of Bartolini electronics. 

I'm about to list the same bass but lined. I did pay mid-3s for it, so I'm hoping to get a little more than 2.5 for it. If anyone sees this and is interested....
