Peter probably remembers Santa Fe Speedway in the south burbs of Chicago. Where you would end up with "mud beer" if you were at the right turn at the wrong time.  :o ;D

Been there, done that.......

I was also there, barely.
Of all things I over-indulged in alcohol.  😞
Passed out for most of the show, absolutely no idea how I got home.

Well, we're glad you did!
And I, for one, am glad I don't much go beyond 2 beers anymore; it's a wonder I survived ages 18-24........

I was only 11 for that show.

I wouldn't be born for another seven months when this was recorded:

The moral of the story is that I clearly missed all the fun.

Double Trouble Mk. IV:

Peter (who recalls that when rumors of them first hit the Chicgao blues scene, our general reaction was "Really?  Jimmy Vaughan has a brother?  I wonder if he can pick any?")

I ran across this footage of Tony Rice and the rebooted "Manzanita" band at Rockygrass, from about 20 years ago. Classic stuff. There's more, these were just highlights.

Band personnel are, Tony Rice, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, additionally on bass; Barry Bales, Gabe Witcher on fiddle, and Dan Tyminski singing and playing rhythm guitar. Occasionally Danny posts these little short snips on his channel. He came by those Rice licks honestly.

I am a hypocrite.
AI is horrific and data centers MUST be stopped/torn down.
Yet the algorithm on YouTube music continues to blow my mind!

Started my day with Tower of Power - East Bay Grease and then let YouTube music 'pick songs for me' after the album finished.

This nugget popped up, no idea how I can be this old and not know about Donald Byrd.
