On a YouTube preview you can click the forward-pointing arrow to get the full link to the video.

Does that work for you?

I click the arrow, the vid starts, I right-click - but no "Copy URL" appears.  I right-click on an image, I click "copy", I go where I want to share it, I right-click, I click "Paste" - and the thing I copied before the one I want appears.
This only happens here.

For YouTube, I meant the other arrow, not the "play" button. Looks like you're using a mouse, so when you move the mouse pointer over the preview, do you see any other controls pop up into view?

For images, try to do a download, instead of a copy action.

I just love that it was his first experience of a Larson. It's almost unfair for him, because it's really one of the best sounding ones out there.

There's a couple funny exchanges in that video. There's buyer's remorse, seller's remorse, and NON-buyer's remorse... as in, I'm an idiot for not buying that guitar when I had the chance! Man, I've been there. 😔

Following up on that odd Gibson headstock logo. My buddy finally confessed that he didn't know what it was, he just saw the picture of it on a Facebook post, and thought he'd pull my chain. I have seen it, but I can't remember where or when. I showed it to Ward Elliott the other night at our weekly meet-up, and he says it kinda' reminds him of Steve Gilchrist's logo. Another Fender. This time, it's a top-loader Esquire — about as simple as they get:

Can you tell a difference between the string-through body and top load, if all other was same-same? I gotta' think it has some effect...

I can feel the difference — top loaders are slinkier, but I'm not certain I'd be able to hear the difference.

Partly because of Rob's recent misfortune losing a guitar in shipping, I was reminded of this one; 1982 Michael Tobias Basic 4. They don't get much more basic than this... it's just that, a basic 4-string, single pickup, alder wings, on a maple/purpleheart neck, painted gloss black. 



So this one disappeared in shipping too, but after a few days. The tracking showed it being delivered and signed for in Roanoke. Thing is, I don't live in Roanoke, that's about 10 miles away, and I surely didn't sign for it. Most importantly, I didn't have the bass. After a series of phone calls to a very apologetic but thoroughly unhelpful chatbot, I went into stalker mode, and finally found my bass, still on a delivery vehicle. Awkward. 🙄 Let's hope that plays out again soon. 

All that to say, #252 dates to early 1982 and is one of the first California builds after the move from Florida.
