yer bass rack, that is.  with the much anticipated arrival of the dragon wing one of the problems that i knew i'd hafta deal with is where am i gonna put it? i'm in a tiny east denver townhome.  i have a corner for my home amp and six basses.  the DW will make 7.  that's 5 alembics, a beater ABG and a headless graphite status.  the ABG and an electric hang on the wall, so i need a good 5-bay rack that can accomidate a weird-body status, a big-body SII, a mark king deluxe, the shop night fretless A-bass and the DW.  needless to say these are all long scales with big headstocks.  it's gotta be sturdy, not scuff up my instruments (i get to do that) and look like something you'd put a sh!t-load of expensive instruments in. i'd like to think i'm done buying basses at this point, so we don't need room for expansion.  i'm using a 3-head goliath hanger and a single stand now.  we're maxxed-out.

so show me whatcha got or whatcha know about.  i've already surfed the evil empire and reverrb.  meh...

I used a couple Hercules 5-guitar stands for a good little while.  They're adjustable.  I usually had 6 or 7 basses in their 5-instrument version and I never felt like anything was too close/in danger of damage.

If you have the option to hang them on the wall, I'd do that.

I use a 6 row String Swing floor rack. I don't think it would be DW friendly though. They make a lot of other great stuff, including multi-guitar wall hangers. https://www.stringswing.com/guitar-floor-rack-hardwood/

We've got a couple of those on the sales floor in the store, very handy. I like the String Swing hangers too, and have them here at home, but I don't ever hang bass guitars on them, just smaller things. It's not that they wouldn't hold, just a matter of convenience and reach. There are 12 of these around the walls of my music room.

I have a bunch of different racks, and these seem to work the best.

I have my Tele & jazzbox on Kentucky Brown Pedalboards wall hangers; the others are on the classic double-bow floor stands, mostly Musician Gear IIRC.

thanx for the suggestions.  after a whole lotta lookin at racks i settled on this one from the evil empire.  since i'm done buying bassesses, i don't have to worry about expansion.  the dragon wing's just too strangely-shaped for anything but hanging so it goes on the wall with the essence.  might hafta juggle the pecking order, tho...

cheers!

If so, that is the only ABG I've ever picked up that had a good open E.  Love them.

i dunno.  here's the nameplate.  i was in the local guit@r shop getting one of the alembics looked at and i spied this item with a $200 USD tag on it.  turns out it has some kind of piezeo pickup in the bridge that failed and somebody bolloxed the repair to the point that it's now unrepairable.  now, to my way of thinking, if yer gonna plug it in, might as well get a real electric instead.
sound-wise, it's not bad.  volume-wise, it's a total bust.  hardly louder than a gnat whisper.  i've had a few ABGs.  some of them quite spendy.  i'm convinced they're pretty much a novelty item.  totally useless unamplified for anything else than getting baked to the gills and taking it out to the patio (no amp!) and practicing my fingering on a warm sunny day.  which is all i bought it for.

cheers!

ABJ250 may be what I meant - but it was CM4; a cedar top instead of the spruce denoted by the S.
I'm betting that one sounds good, too.
