yer bass rack, that is.  with the much anticipated arrival of the dragon wing one of the problems that i knew i'd hafta deal with is where am i gonna put it? i'm in a tiny east denver townhome.  i have a corner for my home amp and six basses.  the DW will make 7.  that's 5 alembics, a beater ABG and a headless graphite status.  the ABG and an electric hang on the wall, so i need a good 5-bay rack that can accomidate a weird-body status, a big-body SII, a mark king deluxe, the shop night fretless A-bass and the DW.  needless to say these are all long scales with big headstocks.  it's gotta be sturdy, not scuff up my instruments (i get to do that) and look like something you'd put a sh!t-load of expensive instruments in. i'd like to think i'm done buying basses at this point, so we don't need room for expansion.  i'm using a 3-head goliath hanger and a single stand now.  we're maxxed-out.

so show me whatcha got or whatcha know about.  i've already surfed the evil empire and reverrb.  meh...

I used a couple Hercules 5-guitar stands for a good little while.  They're adjustable.  I usually had 6 or 7 basses in their 5-instrument version and I never felt like anything was too close/in danger of damage.

If you have the option to hang them on the wall, I'd do that.

I use a 6 row String Swing floor rack. I don't think it would be DW friendly though. They make a lot of other great stuff, including multi-guitar wall hangers. https://www.stringswing.com/guitar-floor-rack-hardwood/

We've got a couple of those on the sales floor in the store, very handy. I like the String Swing hangers too, and have them here at home, but I don't ever hang bass guitars on them, just smaller things. It's not that they wouldn't hold, just a matter of convenience and reach. There are 12 of these around the walls of my music room.

I have a bunch of different racks, and these seem to work the best.

I have my Tele & jazzbox on Kentucky Brown Pedalboards wall hangers; the others are on the classic double-bow floor stands, mostly Musician Gear IIRC.
