Title: PHIL LESH’s BOOK
Post by: lbpesq on April 04, 2026, 12:35:10 AM
I read Phil's "Searching For the Sound" when it first came out. Loved it. One of my two favorite rock autobiographies, along with Levon Helm's book. Last week I travelled for work, driving four hours each way. I loaded the audio edition, read by Phil, and listened for the six hours it ran. It really is a wonderfully entertaining and insightful work. Phil's intelligence and passion for the music shines through. Highly recommended read if you haven't read it, and highly recommended re-read for those who have. And an especially high recommendation for Phil's audio version.

I think I have read it 4 times now; I will no doubt read it again.
It's what I tend to grab when I'm done with my last library book and the next one isn't in yet; it is just superb!  And I 100% agree with Bill about it & Levon's This Wheel's On Fire.

I have the audiobook on CD, read by Mr. Lesh himself.
