Is that a modernized copy of Rousseau's Sleeping Gypsy behind him?

I heard and saw John play the original up close and personal.

Shook the entire venue up off its foundation!

Matchless

Yes, painted by the man sitting in front of it.  Based on the original but with changes.  Here's his painting: https://www.joelp.com/images/dreaming800wm.jpg

The Steinberger ties it all together.

What an odd thing.  I don't understand what's happened here.  It seems Mr Pelletier doesn't realize that Alembic still exists.  He went to all this trouble "working from photographs" to build this replica?  He found somebody to make the bridge and tailpiece because "nobody else does that"?  It's a shame really when he could have had the real thing!

Sure, imitation is the finest form of flattery.  But if he ever tries to sell this or build more to sell he's in for a big surprise when Mica calls.  :o

Agree with jimmy 110 % !! Flaunting like this is unwise to say the very least. Copyright is "life of the creator plus 75 years". He is certainly running up on some dangerous ground here
