Title: A bad day
Post by: cozmik_cowboy on August 26, 2026, 03:04:49 PM
Dolly wasn't our only loss yesterday; Tim Curry - Dr. Frank N. Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show and Pennywise The Clown in IT, as well as many other roles, passed as well, also at 80.

And, of course, he also did this:

The grim reaper has been a real pill lately.

I've got a few recommendations for them... 😶

First Dolly, then Tim Curry.
Is anyone keeping an eye on Cher?

My buddy John who edits Bluegrass Today wrote four obituaries in the past week. Two of them I knew pretty well.

On the other hand, Barbara Eden turned 95 on the 23rd. She is still working, still keeps a public schedule. Probably why she is 95. The woman is a force of nature. I quit reading her posts because they were almost all about one of her friends dying. She has outlived almost everyone. She posted about Hayden Panetierre last week, then Shelly Fabares, then Dolly Parton. She knew them all professionally. Maybe that's just what people do? I dunno.

But as I have often been reminded, ain't none of us gettin' outta' here alive. If you have plans for today, keep them.

Good for Jeanie!  My dad's 95, and he can no longer stand up or, usually, remember what he was saying past mid-sentence.
