Great sound Pierre-Yves and Harry. I have been listening to your tracks all this morning. A true inspiration to a newbe like myslef.

Slawie,
I think it was your thread that motivated me to get the JamMan Stereo ... +1 on your comments regarding Sonicus and Kimberly.

Bill, what happened to Peanut Butter?!! I enjoyed it! Looking forward to something new...

Pierre-Yves - Lopsy Lu sounds great! I was just thinking of this song today - a volunteer in my office is name Lou although she is a woman (this spelling is usually for men's names) - got me thinking about the song and then you posted it! Waiting for it to appear in the Alembic Players group...

Pierre-Yves - sounds amazing (as usual)!!! Care to enlighten us regarding the name change?

I put up another track in the Alembic Players group too (my Stanley Clarke played with a pick through F-2B & SF-2). I hope other people contribute too! This could turn into a nice Library of Alembic Sounds!

the name change, its a mistake and I dont know how to resolve it. I have 2 name I think: pierre-yves v., blackwood Bass... batracien too ? It the same
Fine, fine your tune... its grooving !
Maybe we could write to Mica, Susan etc, and they put this Alembic players group in their web site as sound example... AND, any work deserves payment, they could give us a large percentage on future orders!

Mica ?? Susan ??

Thanks Harry. I posted a new version of Peanut Butter. http://soundcloud.com/billostech/peanut-butter2
I am trying to figure out how to record a drum track and loop over it, instead of playing over the Jamnan's rythym track which is not recorded.

Nicely done Harry. I enjoyed all of your tracks.

I got an idea. Let's create a tune as a group. After one track is laid, another member can lay down another. I don't know how this can be managed, but it seems it can lead to an awesome experience.

Bill - I like that idea! I took part in something similar when I used to be on TalkBass.com more - they called it the spittoon - it was fun but kind of a pain to pull off. Maybe it's time to try it again! One way to do it is to build a complete track from the bottom up - another way is the spittoon approach - each person records 4-8 bars - you just keep adding to it, the parts can be related or completely unrelated.

Activity on the Alembic soundcloud group has slowed down - in the meantime, I've posted a new track in my own account, not Alembic but check it out anyway!

Pierre-Yves - I really like the Neckpickupjam.
Great sound and playing.
What is your recording setup?
Any signal processing?
