Here's all of the Alembic basses, sans owners. Custom basses upfront, I think you can recognize a few of them. From left: The Unicorn, the Alpha Omega, Ocra, John's custom Series, and Wayne's Started with frets until . . . fretless Series (aren't pistol grip horns so cool?). Custom or not, each bass has something different to offer a player. Veritable candy shop.
We also had our first ever guitar: an Exploiter; far right, back row.

Not the best angle, but here are three Exploiters. L to R: eight string bass, four stringer and the previously mentioned guitar.

Oh, yeah. That's the infamous spalted-maple, 3/4 size MK off to the left. And yes, it's still in Olie's possession.

In front of the Exploiters we have two Shorties. In no way do short scales lack in the bottom end?these babies have plenty. Super comfortable to play. SC Deluxe in the foreground and a Series version p just behind it.

I didn't get to take as many pictures this year because I had to leave early, but here is what I have -

We had 5 Featured Customs at our Gathering!

This is all the Alembic owners

Also in attendance was Michael Moore who brought his Geddy Lee Jazz Bass signed by Geddy, & Dwayne Heggars who plays bass for the Emerald City Band. Not pictured was Doc's friend Sandy who came up with Doc to play keys for our jam.

Craig Novak's Ritter bass was a big hit with the crowd. It played & sounded great!

We used my rig with my Accugroove Wedgie to test out the basses downstairs before taking them upstairs to the jam room with John's big rig.

John's Amazing stereo rig with an Elf system driving two 18's & another amp driving 2 Eden 2X10 cabinets. Mike aptly dubbed the rig the "Fracking Machine!" If you hear a news report about a house in Plano Texas collapsing, you will know that John turned his rig up past 2! This thing has some serious horsepower!!

Not only is Olie a killer bass player, he is a rock solid drummer too!

John is a wonderful host & he cooked up a great lunch for us!

David brought his Dan Electro "Longhorn" bass.

We didn't have enough stands to display all the basses at the same time, so here is Mike's signed Geddy Lee Jazz Bass.

I can't say enough about the generous and unreserved fellowship and hospitality that was shown yesterday. The Club is great, but this is tops.

In debt to John for opening up his home and making this possible. Quite the host and gentleman.

Now, can someone else post some images? I didn't take that many!

It was great fun . . . more playing this year but seemed like we were pressed for time. 18 Alembics, was hoping we might hit 21 but 3 didn't make it

Counting the other instruments around, another 6 guitars and another 6 basses, so 30 stringed instruments all told - not bad for 9 owners
