Sunset?  Sun?  What's that?
I'm from Washington State, we know it's sunset because it gets just a little bit darker.
I'm really looking forward to opening up the case for the first time.
I wonder if anyone can tell me what guage strings it's set up for?
As for beer....bottles, pints, ounces, barrels, kegs.......just as long as they keep on coming!
Have one or three for me!

Standard strings are 10s. The top and finish is amazing on that Skylark! When you get it, you'll see the burst on the back, the back of the neack and peghead as well. The front of the peghead has an ebony veneer, and yeah elzie, you CAN see the ceiling tile reflection. Wild.

Thanks for the string info Mica, 10's sound just right...Dave (@guitar resurrection) told me it's one beautiful guitar, I can hardly wait for 1st contact.

I talked to Guitar Res this morning, they received the $$ and are shipping today!  Now I get to do the UPS shuffle....I guess time really is relative, 'cause it's sure slowing down right now.

I've spent the last 10 days playing, playing, changing strings, playing, playing, adjusting string height, playing, changing strings, playing, playing, adjusting, changing strings, and playing....etc.(repeat when necessary)

What can I say...This is the finest guitar that I've ever had the pleasure to own...and over the last 40 years, I've owned a few.  Up until now, my favorite electric guitar has been my Travis Bean Artist....No longer!  I love my Les Paul less, Paul! (sorry Paul, I couldn't resist!) Suffice to say I've enjoyed many wonderful instruments over the decades, but this one surpasses them all!  It plays even smoother than it looks.  And the sound is just this side of heaven.  To say that I'm blown away by this guitar is an understatement.  It's pure enjoyment!  My only regret is that I didn't make this purchase sooner.  I'd be a better guitarist if I had.

Thanks to all for the welcome, and thanks to all the folks at Alembic for putting such a high quality instrument in my hands.

Whew! Thank goodness you're OK. After not hearing from you for a few days, we all figured that you received your new masterpiece, played 5 days straight, overdosed, and were lying by the side of the road somewhere, completely passed-out. Isn't it wonderful what a new Alembic will do for you??!! And to think, many people need drugs to achieve this feeling...go figure....!
Correction: there is 'much' money to be made above the fifth fret....

Yes indeed!  Never fear!  I almost always land on my feet.  I guess I'm just another dopeless hope fiend. Gotta go play some more.
