Looking for an Alembic
« on: January 28, 2006, 12:45:00 PM »
I had a 5-string 36 Rogue and it was beautiful..but too much bass for my short frame. I sold it here at the Alembic forum.  So I'm looking for a medium scale bass (spoiler or persuader) to get that same feel...just can't get it with a Pbass or Rick.  Let me know if you have one to part with or know of another avenue.
Thanks,
Wayne

Hi Dan, welcome to the board!  And congrats on the Orion!  What you might want to do is custom order an Orion just the way you want it.  If the guys notice your post here, I imagine some of them will chime in with their favorite vendors.

I play my Persuader through an Ashdown 300 watt head and a 4-10 cab.  The only effect I use is a Boss Bass Chorus.  I'm a weekend warrior (3-4 weekends per month) on lower shore of DE/MD/VA.  My new bass should turn alot of heads...not many Alembics around here.

Hi Wayne,

I'm so happy that you found an Alembic that fit.

Your old five string is in very appreciative hands...

Enjoy,

Hollis
