Greetings from Connecticut...!
I am the proud father of a brand new Stanley Clark Brown Bass, complete with SC pearl inlay below tailpiece.
I have never seen such great woodworking. This machine has more harmonics than one can shake a stick at...!
Regards,
Popeye

Could this be the first re-issue they did, which was showcased in the old Featured Construction section of the main site?

Thanx all..! I will work on pics, but it's a replica of what you see on SC's If This Bass Could Only Talk CD, except no XLR balanced out, 1/4 only.
But it's great...the side fretboard position markers are red LEDs,  and light up when a switch is thrown...easy to see in the dark..I think that LED rig takes 5 nine volt batts, and one for the main electronics...gadzooks...! I wish I had a wiring diagram (are you reading this Jason?).....JAJAJA (Spanglish for HAHAHA)
I like the dummy humbucker between the two actual PUPs, I think it really balances out the face. Wish I had thought to have them do the raised headstock badge as a pearl inlay, but Alembic tells me just send it on back and they can do that...am mulling it over.
Would love to hear from other BB owners..!
Regards,
Popeye

Here's the Brown Bass we make for Mike:

and a closeup of the inlay he requested:

Not quite a replica, but turned out really nice. The first of the Brown Bass models didn't have the inlay, it's owned by another Club member.

Sweet. If you get the tone Stanley does you'll be smiling. If it had been mine though, I'd have my own initials inlaid;-)

Mighty sweet indeed!

Mica, any chance of resurrecting the Featured Construction? (as if you didn't have enough on your plate already ...)

The Factory to Customer section is almost as robust as the Featured Constructions were. There are some new products brewing, and I'll likely turn the documentary photos into a Featured Construction or similar page.

New products - I guess we already had a preview of that on the Station Music site, with the Alembic cable.

You must have used the plural intentionally - intrigued!

Welcome to the club! From a fellow CT club member and bassist. That's a really pretty bass, play it in health!

Yo Kris Keurosix, I'm in a top secret location in Seymour....don't blink your eyes if you ever pass thru town or you'lll miss it..! What's your home stomping ground?
There's a great music store in Ansonia, next town over - Banko's House of Music; if you haven't been there,  check it out if you get a chance...! Joe Salvati is current owner, we worked together there in a previous epoch.
Tell him 'Mike : Hofner V62 Beatle Bass' sent you...he will either take good care of you or throw you out, one...!!  JAJAJAJA (Spanglish for HAHAHAHA).

Jacko, I promise to have my own initials on the next BB, plus balanced out and the red laser front oval fretboard marker$$...!
Well, you can tell by my many exclamation points that I am excited, I better calm down before I fall down...!!
Regards,
Popeye

Yo Popeye,
I know that store. I got my Dean Edge 6 string fretless there. Is Joe Salvati the previous owner of Joe's Music in Wallingford? I bought my SWR rig from him years back. Have you been to G-Guitars yet? That's where I got my Europa 6 (in my profile pic). That's a really sic store for GAS! I'm in West Haven during the day, close to seymour. Maybe a Nutmeg State Alembic get-together is in the future?

KK - No, Joe S has been with Banko's since 1980 at least, so I think he is not of Wallingford fame.

My amp rigs over the years had been Acoustic 360 (was playing a '64 Hofner Beatle Bass at the time...Hofner & 360 - GREAT combination) -  later an Acoustic 320 head w/408 cabinet(4 X 15);   these days it's a Galien Krueger 800RB bi-amp'd  head (300W + 100W w/ active crossover built in), with an Ampeg Classic 2 X 10 cab plus an SWR Big Ben cab. In most instances I don't use the Big Ben.
Re: G-Guitars, I have not been there yet... worked up the basic order over the phone with Tommy Lee at 'G' as they are the dealer in CT, then they turned me loose to work out fine details with Susan at Alembic. She was great...my phone bill was out of this world...! Could have gotten away cheaper by using e-mail, but the vocal interaction was a gas, and well worth it.
Are you listening Sue?  Thanx..! ;O)_~

Regards,
Popeye

Welcome to the club, Mike, and congrats on the gorgeous Brown Bass!  It's awesome... classic Alembic beauty!  In particular, I love the gorgeous beauty of your Mahogany neck laminates, and the Ebony shim under the brass tailpiece.

What a beauty!!!
