I joined the club today so to speak, as my '75 Series I arrived.

My name's Chris-I'm a college student and bass player, of course, majoring in music production at Ohio University. I've been playing bass for a little over 3 years, and I've been wanting an Alembic from day 1.

This is my bass-it's SN 75-246. I've been having a great time with it, so far-the variety of tones on tap is staggering, compared to my past and current instruments.

There's some more pics and info in the Showcase thread.

Great looking bass, Chris!  It has the classic understated Alemibic look... a subtle but undeniable beauty.

The top looks great... but, along with the back, it's actually a pretty unique instrument.

Enjoy and treasure it... you won't find a better bass -unless/until the day comes when you order a custom Alembic designed to be EXACTLY what YOU want!

Until then... this bass should do you in good stead!!!

Just joined in Sept...having the good folks at Alembic build a customized Futhur...currently have a 1954 strat, ibanez 2681, and a wierd modulus blacknife with an Alembic logo on the headstock as well ( Susan told me when Geoff Gould left Alembic to form Modulus he put both logos on a few guitars but was asked to stop given that Alembic had nothing to do with the guitars being built, I think mine is from the late 70s)..am having Resurrection Guuitars build me a exact replica of Lightning Bolt but with different electronics than what Cripe originally put in...I am an old grey haired Dead head...talking equipment is great but it is all about the music
