I am a new Alembic owner but while I was looking around I came across an interesting archive about John Judge...I have been his best friend for years and just for the record if any one is interested in knowing about his background as a Bassist, accomplishments, his gear or what went into the true design of the Bass and how it came about and more detailed specs then I can answer these facts for you...I read the post and there is some speculation that is not quite clear by the posters some I can give you the facts you may want and I am still in contact with John so I am sure he wouldn't mind answering a few questions if I don't know the answer myself

Welcome to the club. While I can't be sure, I strongly suspect you are our first forensic bassist! As for the true John Judge story, I'm sure lots of us would eagerly read whatever you post. The John Judge story/mystery has long been a popular topic on this site.

ok starting tonight I will post some information about the Bass and some about John..I will also answer any questions that I feel I can do comfortably without invading John's privacy...But if we come to something that only he may know then I will pass it on to him for a reply..I will be back after dinner...first part, how the Bass came about...the Idea the concept and the story behind the inlays
