Greetings From Kansas City
« on: April 08, 2009, 05:58:26 PM »
Hello to the Club.  I'm a new member from the Kansas City area and am just starting to watch my first Alembic being crafted via FTC.  I'd like to thank all of the club members who unknowingly helped me shape my decisions on this bass by posting their own thought processes and experiences on this site.   It was very helpful and I am very appreciative.

I took up playing in a band again about four years ago after a (brief) 30+ year hiatus after college.  It's been a lot of fun.  We generally play for benefits (for free) and it's very satisfying to be able to help small organizations by donating our services as well as having a great time.  Although, at our age(s), we'd sure like to see some roadies especially for second floor venues.

I've admired Alembic since the their early days and am very excited about finally getting one of my own.

Jon, welcome to the club and congrats on the Dragon Wing that's on the way.  We'll be watching the FTC page on it.

Hello Jon, Welcome to the club.
Gotta love those brief hiatuses, mine was only 17 years. Your instrument will be beautiful, I'm sure.
