Hi, I wanted to introduce myself and say that I just purchased a used Skylark. I can't believe the craftmanship and quality....amazing. I collect Guild, and Gretsch but will definitely collect Alembic from now on - I'll never let this one go!  You have a great forum and I hope to post more later on after I get a feel of this place.
Cheers!

Gil, welcome! That is one beautiful guitar... Congratulations!!
I hope you get the most out of it!
How did it happen? Did you see it hanging on a shop or did you search for it?

Hello Gil, and welcome to our friendly family.
I hope you enjoy your time here, and I hope you keep on loving that beautiful guitar.
There's a meet-up of the San Francisco area club member coming up real soon. Check in the Gatherings section...

Wow, what a great response! This is the friendliest forum I have ever experienced.  I live in the L.A. area and head up north every once in a while so I'll take your advice and check out the gatherings section to see what's up. I was lucky enough to find this treasure in ebay. I have looking for a year and finally hit the jack pot.
Life is sweet!!

Gil:

Welcome to the club.  Always nice to have another six stringer around these rather bottom-heavy parts.  Beautiful top on your Skylark.  If you mosey over to the gatherings section under community you'll find the thread for the upcoming 3rd Annual Northern California Gathering at the end of the month.  Come on up, if you can.  A great bunch of people and an amazing collection of instruments.
