Yeah, it's time to match names with another dream bass.

I know this bass may be ugly to some of you guys, and that's cool -- I have a tough skin, and I am a good sport. But, watch and see this bass develop... (If Alembic accepts my challenge to make it...) it just might grow on you enough to lift your spirits without the booze.

C' ya next year!

It's going to be an expensive proposition to define yourself by whatever custom you have in progress, but more power to you (as the Darlings would say).  I certainly enjoy watching your threads play out.

The changing of the name was not done to offend anyone. It's just a marker for me to remember the time and the event. It's kinda like, looking at old pictures and you see the leaves on the ground, or maybe snow. You might not remember everything in the picture, but you're probably  right guessing the season.

Peace and Love-

Hal/the jester:
You are the most unique of the current posters in the whole freakin' forum -- and let's face it, that's saying a hell of a lot!  It's impossible not to love ya!  More power to you, Bro!  Keep on pushin'...straight ahead as Jimi would say.

Seriously, best of luck with your basses....

Thank you Sam, that was lovely Man.

If it was not for the life of James Marshall Hendrix, I would had never been interested in music period. I praise GOD for Jimi, and all the crap he had to go through just to live a normal life here. Every time I strap on my guitar or bass, I think of Jimi (No kidding...).

Music is the only thing that is pure and untempered by evil intentions. Music is innocent, and I guess this is why we love instruments that produces the most clearest sounds. Play from the heart, and speak from the heart. That's what music is all about to me.

BTW, I watched every picture produced of your fabulous bass. You are indeed blessed to own such a beauty. Play it hard, like your Mother/Father told you to!

Gotta run to my daughter's School Christmas Play.

God Bless you brother.

Love and Peace-

Flip, you are one of the cornerstones to the club. You are just as CRAZY about Alembics than I.

Ok, let's call it a tie.

That was very generous of you to show those very special pictures. Clearly, it's above words.

I totally get it dude, no need to say no more... Words couldn't describe such feelings, and I felt the same way when I visited Jimi's grave back some 10 years ago in honor of his birthday Nov 27th.

BTW, both Bruce Lee and Jimi's birthdays are on the same Nov. 27th. Ain't that a trip... Two of my favorites philosophers and poets beyond fighting and playing a guitar.

I love the Jester!

Hal, you keep my dreams alive. Someday I'll be here telling you about my own Alembic custom...
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!
