Love your 76 - should it get lonely to the point of despair when the toma hawk arrives- let me know.  I afflicted with an acquisitive illness of late!   ; )

Thanks Tod,

I will surly be in good company with my Shorty   and (Tommy) Toma_Hawk.

I'm sure I'd will be amazed with great interest and sincere anticipation and fulfillment once I get my hands around the Alembic Toma_Hawk.

As with any new Alembic, this is to be expected, especially for anyone who waited patiently for their definition of what a bass is...

But, as with anything, the highs and newness wears down, (thank God) and back to normal. I don't like being in the state of newphoria for too long, it blurs my senses, timing and my psyche.

So, once the Toma_Hawk high is over, I will return back to my Shorty which is very sensible.

Hal,

That's an awesome picture.  Any chance of some close-ups of that beauty?

How are you liking the Toma-Hawk?  What are the differences in tone, from your maple shorty to the TH?

Very interested to hear your thoughts/observations.

If I ever find a pile of cash laying around, I'm going to have a Series II 6 Built with either a quilted Coco-Bolo Top & Back, or possibly Redwood...  It will for sure have at least 3 Ebony neck lams- I loved the sound of my Thunderstick with those ebony lams, it was devastating!  Not sure what other woods other than a Vermilion core...

Peace;)

Frank

ps- I'm going to email you a few raw tracks from our recent recording, back in April.  It's for the new OTiS CD.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new material, raw though it is...
