Hello Everyone!
Just thought I'd pop in and say that UPS just left a package at my door.
I've been away from the Alembic family WAY TOO LONG. My name is Tony and I hope I can contribute to this forum in a positive way. I live in South Florida with my wife Janey, whom some of you may remember. My kids are now in college, the years have gone by quickly and I missed the ALEMBIC sound for SO long.
A HUGE THANK YOU to Dave H. for keeping in touch with me over the years via Email. I feel like my bond has never been totally severed in that way.
My new to me Elan Plus brings me back into the fold. I haven't even opened the box yet. I thought I'd let it settle in for a few minutes before I have at it.
This bass has been around, and IF my research is correct, it has shown it's had about 5 owners that I can track. The ONLY flaw I'm aware of (If you want to call it that) is the thumb rest someone installed. I spoke to my luthier before making the deal and he said he could probably make a very clean repair. The fellow is an artist! He's done touch ups for me in the LONG AGO past on one of my other Alembics and I couldn't tell it was done.
Anyway, I thought I'd keep this short & sweet....I have a BIG box here looking at me that needs attention!
