Hi there,

I'm Terri and I'm a bass-aholic.

I'm not an Alembic owner but have been a fan for many years.  I have had the opportunity to briefly play a 5-string Epic, but never any of the classic models.

I run a couple of bass related websites, http://101basses.com/ and http://bass-aholic.com/  The first is a review website and the second is a kind of encyclopedic databass of about 1000 builders of bass guitars.

I just found out about this forum a few days ago when I learned that someone had posted up my article on the Top Ten Boutique Bass Guitars.(http://101basses.com/top-ten-boutique-bass-guitars-list/)

Thanks for having me on the forum

Terri

Hello Terri,
Welcome to our little spot on the web . I stumbled upon your websites a few years ago  whilst surfing the web and found them quite interesting.
It might not be long now before you become an Alembic owner your self . Many folks here own more then one model . I am a bass-ahloic as well , more specifically now  an Alembi-holic. Have fun checking out our site and the various posts.

Hi Terri.
My name is Paul and I to am a bass-aholic.
There is strength in numbers, all of us here are addicts.

Addicted to a high level of function, form, tone and (an added bonus) beauty.

You really need to get one of these, it will change who you are.

Welcome Terri - IMO, spot on with the Top 10 - !!!

+ 1 on bass-aholic - and beyond that, a total gear junkie (guitars, amps, pedals, accessories...).

I'm bass-ically a mess.

And so is my music room.

But, I look on the bright side, there are worse things I could spend my $$ (and time) doing.

Hi Terri, welcome to the Club! I'm the one who posted your link here in the Alembic Club. Thank you for recognizing Alembic as the top Boutique Bass Guitar manufacturer! All of us here in the Club would agree with you 100%! If your only experience with an Alembic is an Epic 5, I highly recommend you try the other models if you get a chance! Alembic doesn't make a bad bass for any of their models, but if you were impressed with an Epic, you will be completely blown away with one of their Series instruments! Thanks for stopping by & for all the work you do on your websites! Come back here often, you will find the nicest, most informative people in the world here. There is tons of useful information that applies to all basses, not just Alembic, so you may find info here you want to post on your website.

Thanks Guys, and thanks Rusty for posting my link.

Would love to have an Alembic one day, but I'm afraid my budget is Fender and Subaru.  No Rolls in my future.

Once at Bass NW I was probably 100 feet from one of the higher end instruments, but apparently they weren't allowed to show it unless you showed them the money first.  Oh well.

On my bass website I have a page for Alembic ( http://www.bass-aholic.com/basses/A/alembic/alembic.shtml )  If anyone has any comments or suggestions on how the page can be improved, I'd love to hear them.

thanks again,
Terri
