Just bought my first Alembic, a 1981 Distillate, from a fellow member here and am loving it. I'm a big deadhead/phil fan, and also love jazz and stanley clark, so very happy to be an owner of such a fine instrument! cheers,
Tom

Welcome to Alembia Tom.
Congratulations on your Distillate... the first Alembic I ever played was an early 1980's Distillate, and though I couldn't possibly have afforded one on a second-tier musician's wage, the experience branded me for life. Took me another 20 years to finally get one of my own.
Be sure to post us some pictures here in the showcase section. It may take a while for Mica to dig up any info on your bass, but most of the Club members here can identify some specifics for you.

Thanks. I'd love to post some pics but that 150 kb limit is killing me. I'll post some soon. Just put some chromes on her and had first jam with the boys. This thing is awesome!

That one seems to have a special spirit in it. No joke there is something magical in that bass.
