Ken, your Excel is stunning to say the lease.  Mine has the same body woods but with a Pao Ferro finger board and I'm curious how much different the tone is with Ebony.  Any idea?
Enjoy you bass.

Ken,

The Excel is such a beautiful body style.  It looks great in walnut.  How's the sound?

The walnut does indeed look superb.  Beautiful bass.  Looks like you've got a nice start on your collection.  Watch out, Rami!

Yeah, the shoes are ebony lined with sustain block in the sole...

Boy, guess I should have photo-shopped the picture, but with lack of time lately, I just wanted to get some pix up.

I don't think the family can afford me to be in competition with Rami, so this will be it...for awhile, anyway.

Thanks for the complements, guys!

Hey Ken,

Congrats on your Excel, and I love that Rogue!
They're both spectacular. WOW!!!

If you're to have two Alembics, those are the ones to have!

I always loved the Excel for it's simplicity, it's sexy look, and it's MONSTER tone.  Even in it's most basic format (one Fat Boy, Vol, Bass, Treble), it's one of the best Basses in the world.  I'd be perfectly content having it as my only Bass.

Best wishes,

Rami

I'm sure there are lots of members of the club that would be willing to help you reach perfect contentment by unselfishly taking the other basses off your hands.  Even the higher-pitched contingent, like me.  All you have to do is ask. We're here for you, brother.  LOL!

That's a beautiful pair of Alembics Ken, your Excel looks great, but so does your Rogue! The Excel model is really starting to grow on me with fabulous examples like this one showing up. Love to see a picture of the back because of the Ph laminates, and a close-up of the 'elvish' initials...

Ken,
Beautiful instruments.  There's something about Buckeye Burl that still drops my jaw everytime I see it.
On the Excel I love the look of the dark wood on the light body with the accent sandwich.  Very nice.

Beautiful pair, Ken, the walnut on your Excel is indeed superb. The wood truss rod cover was a great idea.
