This story behind this bass is pretty interesting...so here goes...there's a drummer/friend of mine who plays for one of Boise's more popular bands, The Casey Bryant Band, and he told me the bands' bass-player had to quit due to legal reasons.  The drummer asked me to audition and I immediately got the gig.  The funny thing is...is that the former bassist needed to sell this Alembic for legal reasons (he didn't want to part with his Schecter 5-string!!??).  He wanted $900 for the Epic!!!!  I'm thinking...This baby's mine now!!!!  It's in great condition and plays beautifully!!!  It's a 'lifer'!  One thing though, Mica, can you reply with a little info on this particular bass?  The S/N is 96W10040 USA.
Thank you so much for creating a beautiful bass!!!
Mike

Just got my first Alembic.  An Epic and it's a beauty.  I was told I am the second owner.  There will not be a third unless one my kids decides to learn how to play.  No photo yet, sorry.  I'm putting it in my will so that it never gets into the wrong hands.

I realize this is a new response to a post long ago, but I reall like the stories of how folks got their instruments. Nice pic!
